My name is Andy Dion and I am a writer and tutor. In 2017, I graduated from Emmanuel College with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. From 2017 to 2019, I worked as a nanny for a family and part of my daily routine with the children I looked after was tutoring them and ensuring their middle school homework and projects were completed and looking stellar. Since March of 2020, I have tutored for America Study, a Russian-owned company that helps students prepare for college and grad school applications. I was promoted to the position of a consultant in January of 2021 and now I guide students throughout their applications process as a consultant and help prepare them for standardized exams such as SAT, English competency exams such as Duolingo and TOEFL, and college essays in regular lessons.

 

What makes me a strong tutor is my consistency and compassion. Tutoring is an incredibly rewarding job because I get to work with subjects I enjoy and expand my mind with my students. I am driven by seeing the results of my work. When my students make breakthroughs and become even better, I feel rewarded. Each student is owed my best possible effort to help them succeed and make their future brighter. My constant practice as a teacher keeps my skills sharp so students can learn from my personal breakthroughs on the page.
